Mind the stump! As you may have seen, the lime tree on Lower Green adjacent to the Old School has been removed due to fungus infection. However a short stump has been left. Please be aware of this and take care when driving or walking along the lane by the Old School and Schoolhouse.
New - Carers NewspaperDear Carers,
Just to let you all know that the Carers Partnership have been working on a Carers Newspaper publication (download here) which is in the process of being delivered out and about Northamptonshire. The newspaper is aimed at hidden or hard to reach Carers that we have not previously been in touch with, particularly rural communities. So far they have gone to some Care Management Teams, Library’s, GP Surgeries and Age UK Charity shops but the distribution list covers rural supermarkets and other distribution points. This is a pilot project and if successful, we will be trying to seek future funding for a continuation. I have attached a PDF copy of the newspaper s if it can be linked to websites with a short paragraph we would be very grateful. Paper copies are also available on request, I can arrange for them to be delivered. Regards, Jenny jennyo@northamptonshire-carers.org Helmdon Windfarm - new public inquiry date set
The Planning Inspectorate has published the programme for a new public enquiry into the proposed windfarm at Spring Farm Ridge between Greatworth, Helmdon and Sulgrave.
This will take place over 12 days from Tuesday 8th October at the South Northants Offices in Springfields, Towcester with a decision being issued on or before 23rd December. Helmdon, Stuchbury and Greatworth Windfarm Action Group (HSGWAG) will be one of the main parties presenting evidence alongside South Northants Council, who will be defending their original decision to refuse Broadview Energy permission to develop the windfarm. If you did not write previously and wish to let the Planning Inspectorate know your views, please email leanne.palmer@pins.gsi.gov.uk or write to Leanne Palmer, The Planning Inspectorate, Room 3/02 Kite Wing, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Bristol BS1 6PN by 23rd May 2013. |
